Basically, because they are pure nut-heads. And as you grow older you realize that these are the people that you are going to have to tolerate with in the real world. So it’s good to have an early exposure to the kind.
But really, I count my blessings every time it took me to notice that it was my big bros who introduced me to real music. Not a day goes by that I am glad I am not those Taylor Swift-Selena Gomez- What even, Bieber– teen girl fanatics. Who listened to Kill Hannah’s Lips Like Morphine when they were 15? I did, reader, I did. And of video games. Do you know how terrifyingly irritating it makes me feel when I see those Gamer Girls Wannabes? Naw, I don’t admit I am one but I actually do play video games, like for real ones. So, yes. And isn’t being geeky sort of a thing now? Or am I misinterpreting the current wave? Well, I am proudly admitting that yes, frankly, (or is it already evident?) that I am one, at heart, that I drool over Star Wars and Lord Of The Rings and I like fictional-character action figures. And I have had plenty of near-death experiences via being tortured by my big bros so reader, I know what pain is.
